Our Story

Encouraging you to celebrate life and share the bounty of nature with delectable, earth-friendly chocolates – this is my version of heaven on earth.

Making fine chocolates by hand is a blend of visual artistry, lots of tactile gratification (being very labor intensive), patience and sensual pleasure. The fillings are sourced with organic teas and local fruits wherever possible to support local growers. We also use fair trade chocolate in a blend originating from Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Peru. We use a shared kitchen facility and have access to that only once a week. In one day we might have 300-400 finished chocolates. Offering a line of gourmet chocolates for those who have diet sensitivities is another strong driver. All the chocolates are vegan, and about 75% are gluten free as well.

Packaging is another aspect that has a huge impact in terms of green practices. Our most unique offering is a two-piece favor box made of plantable paper embedded with native prairie seeds or a mix of wildflowers. Can you think of a more affirming and fun thank-you gift or wedding favor?
